Hand dyed cottons in fiber reactive and indigo dyes, shibori and potato dextrin resist, pieced and quilted by hand and by machine.
Juried into SAQA’s Seasonal Palette exhibit, I was asked to design a winter quilt. Haiku often relate to the seasons and contrasts. This is my visual haiku. Indigo dyeing, here balanced with the colors of fiber reactive dyes, is suited to the contrasting palette of winter.
