Since 1987, I've met with a group of women to discuss our work and our lives as artists. Initially the group included quilters Judy Becker, Nancy Crasco, Sandy Donabed and Sylvia Einstein. The group expanded to include others and then contracted to the original five as individuals moved on.

Over the years, we've encouraged and supported one another, and have learned to trust and appreciate our individual viewpoints. Throughout the exchanges, our voices have remained unique and influences, if any, have been subtle. We've exhibited together and have become close friends.

 

In 2017, we celebrated our three decades together with "The Quilted Canvas: The Crit Group, 30 Years & Still Quilting," an exhibit at the New England Quilt Museum, as well as self-publishing a book about our evolution.
